Warrior Reborn by Melissa Mayhue ~Review Blitz~

Former special ops agent CHASE NOBLE has been searching his whole life for the place where he belongs. As a descendant of Fae, he senses fate has more in store for him. And he will not rest until he discovers what his true purpose is. When he travels back in time to medieval Scotland, he discovers his mission is to save a beautiful woman—the same woman he is destined to be with.
CHRISTIANA MACDOWYLT possesses the gift of foresight. Prisoner of her evil half brother, Christiana has visions that show her that only one warrior can rescue her—a man she is mysteriously drawn to. The only problem is, he’s in the future. Now she must rely on the magic of a fairy to transport him to the past. And when Christiana finally meets Chase, the sparks between them set off a smoldering desire. But will the magic that brought them together also tear them apart?

~My Thoughts~
I do love my warriors....who am I kidding...I LOVE MEN IN KILTS!

Melissa Mayhue has really stepped up her game with this book. With so much passion and soul....the drama and feelings of each character...every action you forget you're reading a book.

The characters are a blast! Chase is so care free, he is at the point of either it's going to happen or not. So when it does....it's like...yeah right.
In the same sense he's loyal, kind and HOT!

Then you have Christiana making a return appearance (Warrior's Redemption),she is still head strong and thinks of others.

My favorite character has to be Halldor!!!
I swear it's like that man could stay calm through anything and boy could he talk!!! Wholly Boogers!!!
Of course one really needs to ask "Who is Halldor"?

As this story progresses from Chase travelling 700 years back in time in his undies....to Halldor talking his way for Chase and him to serve Torquil to the broken wagon to the night at "My mother's mother" ....it all one big adventure...
Then the tables really start to turn......
Love starts to hit ...knives miss and a head comes off..........
(yes there's more!)

Yet, still at the end I have this need to want to go what? when the heck did he do that....did I miss it...No way really?
Oh Heck when's the next book?

Dangerous Embrace by Dana Mason ~Blog Tour and Giveaway~

Romantic Suspense/ Thriller
Title: Dangerous Embrace
Author: Dana Mason

Date to be Published: 10/04/12

Synopsis:

Sarah Jennings wants nothing more than a quiet life—alone.
Raised by an eccentric mother, their life on the road only taught her how to run away from hard times. But when she finds herself in an abusive relationship, this lesson serves her well.

Now, back in her hometown, she's found a place she loves. She’s a first grade teacher, and with few friends and less family around, she has what she wants, a quiet life under the radar where she can be free of her past and live quietly. Finally comfortable in her own skin, she’s settled, and less fearful than she’s ever been in her life.

But it only takes one night and one act of violence for everything to change. Injured and afraid, Sarah wants to run again, but Mark Summors refuses to let her go.

Just when Sarah thinks she can have Mark and the life he promises, her past comes back to haunt her.

Mark Summors was born and raised in Santa Rosa. He married his high school sweetheart and never questioned his life, until he found his wife with another man.

Now divorced, he wants something more. He’s passionate about his job, he wants to protect people, and he devotes his life to it.

This time he’s protecting more than just another client, he’s protecting his future; at least, Sarah Jennings will be his future, once he convinces her she loves him.

~My Thoughts~
What a killer story!
It's starts very strong with one story line that merges into another that completes the whole...awesome.

Sarah is one heck of a chick....she take a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.....LOL
I'm sure the rest of us would totally be down for the count...I would have packed up and left!
Oh ,but heck no, not Sarah...God is she one stubborn woman!

Mark is such a caring guy...OMG! What a sweetheart....sometimes....to much to believe.

The story is over the top...one attack to another to another....Man oh man.
I was actually wondering towards the end if it was going to be a happy ending or not?!?

Improper Relations by Juilana Ross

Dorset, 1858
When Hannah's caught watching her late husband's cousin debauch the maid in the library, she's mortified—but also intrigued. An unpaid companion to his aunt, she's used to being ignored.
The black sheep of the family, Leo has nothing but his good looks and noble birth to recommend him. Hannah ought to be appalled at what she's witnessed, but there's something about Leo that draws her to him.
When Leo claims he can prove that women can feel desire as passionately as men, Hannah is incredulous. Her own experiences have been uninspiring. Yet she can't bring herself to refuse his audacious proposal when he offers to tutor her in the art of lovemaking. As the tantalizing, wicked lessons continue, she begins to fear she's losing not just her inhibitions, but her heart as well. The poorest of relations, she has nothing to offer Leo but herself. Will it be enough when their erotic education ends?

~My Thoughts~

Having read many historical romance stories, I'm so happy to finally have an author step off the train and take a dive right down the alley!

This story is a bit of a comedy for me, seeing as Leo is not afraid to speak about sex and how to properly perform various activities that provide each partner passion.
So many times it's such an unspoken subject.

Poor Hannah...you just can't help but love her character. Her husband dies, leaves her nothing, now she has to be a companion to his aunt.
Then to top it off seeing your "cousin Leo" with the maid....what a turn on!

Of course then there is the lessons.....  :0)
How could such an eager Hannah turn Leo down?!?
I loved how the author progressed the teaching, how each "lesson" went further and they in turn learned more about each other.
Maybe not enough though.....
Status with the Rich means everything even if you're the "Black Sheep" and dear auntie had other plans.

The ending was a rather sweet piece of pie in the face for Leo's family...one of my favorite endings thus far.

A great job on a fun story.

Shadow Slayer by Laura A. H. Elliot ~Blog Tour~

Title: Shadow Slayer (Book #2 in the Shadow Series)
Author: Laura A. H. Elliott
Date Published:

Shadows will do anything to become human.
You see their influence everyday.
You say things you don’t mean or do things that aren’t like you.
You look, different.
Friends you’ve known forever suddenly never call.

As a freshman, Roxie just wants to fit in which is impossible because she barely runs into her friends at her huge high school. Adrianne’s disappearance and Hayden’s attention rock Roxie’s world. But nothing rocks it like the most gorgeous guy at school, Drew. And nothing is more important to Roxie than astral projecting back to Planet Popular to solve the mystery of the map. But that changes when Drew invites Roxie to homecoming. Hayden warns her that something’s wrong. Why would a guy like Drew like Roxie anyway? Drew must want something. Hayden’s right. Drew is…different. Planet Popular was just the beginning. Part of a bigger world, the Shadow World. There’s a war brewing between the world of humans and the world of shadows. When the shadow invasion begins at Roxie’s high school, she’ll not only fight for her life but the lives of her family and friends, when she discovers she’s the Shadow Slayer, the one human who can save Earth from the shadow onslaught. But, Roxie can’t even kill a spider. Oh yeah, there’s an evil English teacher, an enchanted play, a sword of Sandonian steel, a homecoming of horrors, and seven magic words too.

~My Thoughts~
I had so much fun reading this story. It was like I was starting high school all over again.

This story has action, but has romance all bundle so sweetly.
It would seem that Roxie has it all in the beginning, then it all changes. Her friends aren't what they used to be and things just seem different, but the one semi-constant is....Drew

Roxie is one unique girl, I have to give kudos to her character. I never would have pulled off being a freshman and managed "slayer" too.
She is my favorite by far...the typical teenager in love.

Drew's character is charming and you can tell the author had put more of a mystery about him. He was more old fashion, not your usual sixteen year old, opened car doors even kept up conversations on history. As if that happens now days...LOL

On opening night of the play......

The Battle begins and heads roll.......in the end though.......
an awesome Halloween read....Makes you double check all your friends to ensure they have their shadows...

~Awesome Excerpt~
Chapter 2

For a long time, I lay on that wet asphalt, wishing I was dead. It’s like I’m not even here, like the hurt’s so big I disappear in it. Something soft brushes my shoulder, near the base of my neck. Pain knifes through me, and I choke on a sob. Then I feel that touch again. I lurch up off the track to look around. Nothing.
I’m soaked, numb clear through, but the chill don’t do a thing to dull the fire of losing Cole. That wells up so big and powerful, I can’t hold it back. I scream as loud as I can, till I’m still yelling, but no sound comes out.
I can’t do this. No way can I go back to how things were. Didn’t I do all I could to make sure nothing like this would happen? All them lies I told, why couldn’t they keep him safe?
I shove the wet hair from my eyes and go get my bike. I rip out of the parking lot hard and fast, daring the cops to come after me, hoping I skid under the wheels of some car.
I got no idea where I’m going, but I wind up at Ivan’s Automotive, the shop where I work. Soon as I pull into the lot, the answer comes. My bike might not’ve done me in, but I know something that will.
I find a piston in the scrap bin outside and use it to bust the glass in the back door. When I get in, I turn on the office light, but leave the rest of the place dark. Don’t want nobody calling the cops before I finish this.
I pick the ’89 Taurus ’cause emission standards aren’t so strict for a car that old. Once I got the keys, I grab one of the hoses we use to vent exhaust from the shop. I stick one end on the tail pipe and put the key in the ignition so I can roll the window down a little. I snake the other end through till it’s resting on the passenger side floorboards. There’s a big gap, so I find some towels and cram ’em in to stop it up.
When I crank the engine, I have one thought of Momma, but the pain’s so big and deep it chases even that away. I close my eyes. For a second, I wonder if I’ll see Cole, or if it’ll just be over, but either way it don’t matter.
There’s this whir, and all four windows start going down. What the hell? I jab the master control to raise ’em. The second I take my finger off, they head south again. Are you kidding me? Real quick, I roll ’em up, kill the engine, and get out of the car to pull the fuse. Whatever’s going on, them windows can’t work if they don’t have no juice.
I get back in and crank the starter. The engine revs for just a second before it dies. I try again. The car sputters and stalls. One more shot, and this time it won’t run for nothing. Pissed, I twist the key and don’t let go until the starter sucks every bit of life out of the battery.
“Son of a bitch!” I slam my fist against the wheel, beating it again and again. Finally, I got nothing left. A sob grabs my throat and I slump forward, pain crashing down in waves that want to drown me.
Then something touches my shoulder. I jump and swing around. This time I see him, right beside me.
Cole. Only not Cole—he’s sorta sunk down into the seat a little, and the fabric shows right through him.
The shock stops my breath. I stare at him and he stares back, sadder than I ever seen him. That look is so damn Cole it rips a hole in me. I got no doubt that if he could, he’d take every bit of my pain and carry it himself.
When he puts his hand out, I feel that feather touch again.
“I’m sorry, Ace,” he says, “but I can’t let you do this.”

~Sneak Peek Excerpt~

From Ch. 1:

The Apocalypse didn't start with four horsemen, harbingers of the horror to come. It didn't start with a plague, or pestilence, or even zombies rising from the dead.
It came slowly, and without warning. It crept up on people in the shadows, no more than a vague darkness that spread like an unseen cancer.
And it wasn't set into action by a divine hand. A teenage girl was the catalyst for the End Times.
I should know. I'm the one that started it.
I didn't plan to. I didn't want to start the End Times, and I'm not evil.
Madame Wong taught me to tell the truth, and so here it is. I'm the one responsible for the Apocalypse. And this is the story of how I unwittingly unlocked the door to the darkness; of how a Priestess of the Order of Brighid, entrusted with powerful magic that was supposed to be used for the benefit of all humankind, unleashed a force that would destroy it instead.
And it all began with desire.

Dead Memory by Lizzie T. Leaf ~Blog Tour~

Frustrated with her father’s demand she find a mate, Tawny does, but it’s not one that will receive her family’s blessing. Plus, her new love has no memory of his past…even his name.
Discovering an unconscious man who may be vampire, in the neighbor’s yard leads werewolf Tawny Howls down a love path that’s not going to make her father happy. She senses this man is different, but that doesn’t stop her attraction. Werewolves and vampires are traditional enemies, and it doesn’t help when he remembers nothing about his prior life.

Awakening to find a beautiful woman hovering over him, he remembers nothing of his past life. When Tawny decides to call him David, he’s fine with the name and the attention he receives from his nurse. But why does the scent of the prey she hunts excite him more than the food she cooks?

Can the strong attraction between a shifter and a vampire overcome years of distrust for each other’s species? Will the discovery of his true identity ensnare them in a battle that endangers their lives, in an effort to save mankind from Demon rule?

~My Thoughts~
I'm such a sucker for vampires and werewolves, but throw in demons and OMG!

This story is JAMMED PACKED! Everything a reader could possibly want is there. Fighting, breaking and entering, male egos, and of course.. the all telling love scenes.

I swear each tale in this series gets better....by the end everyone is one huge family, that even I want to be apart of (I just have to decide what creature to be...LOL)

This story shows that bonds formed from friendships really do come in handy....you never know when a sword is coming down at your head!

Oh....Most important...
If you see a HOT NAKED GUY in your front yard, always try to help out
(Hey, you never know...maybe a witch sent him there)

Another Great Job Lizzie!
Wonder who and what is coming in the next story!?!
