Changing Worlds Book 1 of: The Dharalyn Chronicles

Hi, my name is Danielle Walkerman and for the past six months there’s been a hole in my heart I’ve been unable to remedy, rectify or resolve. You see, recently, I lost someone very dear to me, and for a time my Dad worried that I would never recover. In a strange twist of fate however, God saw fit to answer my heartfelt prayer with the unlikeliest scenario imaginable. A new best friend, one as lost and shaken in spirit as I was. How could I have ever imagined when we first met, that my new companion was going to require regular feedings of human blood to survive and diligent efforts on both our parts to keep her profound secret from freaking people out? Though you might find it hard to believe, the fact is she’s an actual, living, breathing Vampire. Not a shallow Hollywood portrayal of one either, but a scary, real-life, sharp fangs and all, bloodsucking badass. This was a fact I discovered quite by accident one day when I caught her feeding on my dear old Gran. (To be fair, that’s a long story, and not, as it turns out, quite as bad as it sounds.) To say this was the beginning of a grand adventure is a bit of an understatement and each new day with Dharalyn brings new challenges, brushes with danger and more than a few surprises. Oh, I almost forgot; did I mention that Dharalyn’s people may be looking for her, and if they find her here, they’ll probably take her away and put her through a twisted version of a dark ages trial, run by some uppity vampire inquisitorial squad? The tragic result being that she could be forced to take a dirt nap against her will. Sheesh, talk about life changing situations! Overall and in the grand scheme of things, I guess you could probably argue that it’s all part of some mysterious master plan, and things will eventually get better. Here’s hoping we’re still alive next year to enjoy it. Welcome to my Changing World!

Donald E. Dambois has masterly crafted a touching, heart-warming novel about sisterhood and friendship while presenting vampires in a whole new light. The Dharalyn Chronicles is a nice alternative to the present vampire YA novels circulating bookstores and libraries. Dambois paints a fascinating picture of Dhara’s beautiful, unique world and her strength and cunning make her a favorite character to read about anytime.  Danielle’s courage and fearlessness gets both her and Dharalyn in and out of trouble. Dhara and Danielle create an awesome duo and I can’t wait for more of their adventures.

White Lies by Jeremy Bates ~Blog Tour~

While driving to a charming village tucked away deep in the Cascade Mountains of Washington State, where she is to begin a new job teaching high school English, Katrina Burton picks up a young hitchhiker who turns to be drunk and predatory. Fearful for her safety, she lies about her destination in order to get him out of the car. But when she later discovers that he is a teacher at the same school, she finds herself feeding that initial lie with more lies.
Then Katrina meets a mysterious man. Handsome, charismatic and strong, he is exactly what she needs to extricate her from the expanding network of lies, now spinning out of control. She falls fast and hard for him.
But her perfect solution soon becomes a nightmare that lands her in the middle of a grisly murder. And Katrina's problems don't stop there. She must decide whether to betray her new love or to cover up the murder and hope for the best...until she discovers that the choice may not be hers to make.

OMG!!!
You tell one lie...you can always correct yourself if you want, but if you keep telling lies well....
This story grabs you from the get go. You have to keep reading, the characters that Mr. Bates has created just scream "Guess what I'm going to do next!".
Katrina is a bit of a push over and it's understandable being that she hasn't really lived life for the past two years, but man oh man (LOL)!
Zach, even though he is brash, an BUTT, I really wanted to smack him ( a lot of the time), he does grow on you.
Then you have Jack the token HOTTIE, BAD BOY, the one Katrina falls hard for.  To be honest I'd probably take him home like a lost little puppy myself! He is a very interesting piece of work....makes the lies keep coming to say the least....
When you get them all together well...yeah...LOL
Teachers can party pretty well when not at school and Lies (even "white Lies") only take you so far.
This book is at the top of my Summer's GO OUT AND READ IT LIST!!!!!!!

Author: Toni Aleo

Date to be Published: 9/10/12

Synopsis:

Definition of an Empty Net: When a team pulls the goalie for an extra attacker, desperately seeking a goal.

Audrey Parker was in a horrible place.
She hated her job, her sister was getting married and moving out, but worst of all, she was in love with a total jerk. No matter what she did, every guy she met hurt her. All she wanted was her happily ever after. Her Prince Charming. Her Lucas Brooks! She didn’t know how to change her life but she knew she needed too.
Feeling like she was about to hit rock bottom, Audrey wakes up next to Tate Odder.

Tate Odder had lost everything.
After being brought up from the Assassins’ farm team, the Florida Rays to the Nashville Assassins, Tate hopes he’ll forget everything he has lost. He doesn’t. Each day gets harder to live in a place he doesn’t know. Even being the first rookie goalie to shut out an opposing team three times during the Lord Stanly Cup Finals, he still felt empty. With the loss of his parents and sister still heavy on his heart, Tate isn’t sure how to live like everything is okay.

But when he wakes up beside Audrey Parker, things start to change. She turns his life upside down with her kooky sense of humor and her bright clothing. She is intelligent and beautiful, and for once, he doesn’t feel empty.
Will Audrey be the person to fill the holes in Tate’s heart, making him whole again?
Or will another player ruin everything, leaving him feeling forever like an empty net?

I am a wife, mother, and hopeless romantic.
I have been told I have anger issues, but I think it’s cause of my intense love for hockey!
I am the biggest Shea Weber fan ever, and can be found during hockey season with my nose pressed against the Bridgestone Arena’s glass, watching my Nashville Predators play!
When my nose isn’t pressed against the glass, I enjoy going to my husband and son’s hockey games, my daughters dance competition, hanging with my best friends, taking pictures, and reading the latest romance novel.
I love things that sparkle, I love the color pink, and did I mention I love hockey?

Coexist Blog Tour and Giveaway

Young Adult Paranormal Romance

Title: Coexist: Keegan's Chronicles
Author: Julia Crane

Date Published: June 2011
This is first in a series of 3. All of these books are out now!

Synopsis:
Sixteen-year-old Keegan is struggling to keep her huge secret from her friends—she's an elf, descended from a long line of elves that live in secrecy alongside humans.

In elfin society, mates are predetermined but not allowed to meet until they are eighteen.  Against tradition, Keegan's brother Thaddeus told her Rourk's name because his visions warned him she'd need Rourk's protection, especially since Keegan will play a key role in the coming war between the dark and light elves.

Rourk finds himself drawn to Keegan's side every time she thinks his name. He wants to talk to her but remains in the shadows, silently guarding her every time she mentally beckons him. A twist of fate thrusts the two of them together when Rourk is forced to step up his protection and make his presence known.

An ancient prophecy deeply entwines Keegan's family and the future of their society. Somehow they must find a way to thwart fate and win the battle...without losing Keegan. With war brewing, and dark forces aligning, will Keegan and Rourk ever have the life together that they both desire?

I really liked how Keegan matures through the book.
She's friendly, caring, adored....just looking for her true love.
I'm totally a Sucker for Rourk!!! I mean come on...who wouldn't love a "guy" who watches you just to make sure you're ok....gets jealous because you're talking to other guys at school....
Well yeah I know it sounds creepy but when you're destined.....
There has to be a way right?

What can I say, But OMG!!!!!
This book has so many things going on that by the time you're at the end.... you're left wanting, DESIRING MORE!

I loved Pam, I could never have gone through all that crap and made it look as though I was put together.
I mean really your husband is dead, a cheater, and lord know has a bunch more secrets hiding.... I'm sure someone would have got shot...oh wait someone did...LOL

Sandra, and Marie are by far very interesting. Both kinda in the same boat, but one on the sinking end....it was really crazy how all three woman came together.

For some reason I don't think we have heard the last of Bill

Suzanne Jenkins truly wrote an amazing book here. You find yourself not wanting to put it down as you in gross yourself in the life of the Smith's family. When what meets the the eye isn't always what seems to be as pretty on the outside.

This book actually reminds me of  Hair band Cinderella's song-Don't Know What You Got (Til It's Gone)
Because Pam sure didn't know what she had until Jack was GONE!

Awesome Beach Read...Pool Read...What The Heck
ANYTIME READ!!!!!
