Chloe Masters’ world changes in a heartbeat and all she
did was touch a doorknob.
When she was young Chloe’s mother vanished. Wracked
by feelings of abandonment and anger she lost herself
traveling with her father’s magic act, where illusions
were part of her everyday life. Yet everything changes
when they are pursued by a mysterious man in black out
to kill her father. Touching a doorknob activates abilities
she never knew she had and she finds herself thrust into
a world of ancient societies and secrets.
When her father disappears it is a race against time to
find answers before she loses what’s left of her family.
Now Chloe must choose who to trust, the man who will
do anything for her or the one she can’t stop thinking
about.

~My Thoughts~

Loved it!
No once upon a time here....lets start with walking a ledge of a building in Paris getting ready to break into an office!

Chloe is AWESOME! Never giving up on her family and bound and determine to find her dad... She is one kick butt girl. I love all of her crazy plans and how each one has something in it that goes totally freakin wrong....LOL

Of the guys I would have to say that James is my favorite even though he is a cocky jackass....he has his reasons.
All in all this story is so pack with twisting doorknobs and keys powering up, each page is an eye full!
Not to mention it even has a little bit of romance :0)
I think the best battle was the last few....I mean taking down cops...gremlins...talking with the council...fighting you're so called teacher....just to top it off with thinking you see your mom before you pass out.
Now that's one HELL of a battle!!!!!
To think all this was for just the first artifact!!!
Can't wait to see what book two has them up too.....

·  Award-winning Finalist in Multicultural Fiction (2011 International Book Awards)

~My Thoughts~
"The worst pickup line of all time. Hi, I'm Stuart. Go out with me see-I can fly? What's next, you'll start sparkling in front of her?"
LOL

I really enjoyed this Vampire/Human book.
Kalina is one heck of a feisty 17 year old. Having just lost her boyfriend then to have both his half brothers pop up...wow talk about drama!
Not to mention they're vampires...or that she's special.

I have to say my fave is Jaegar!!! He's blunt and straight-forth!!!!
Stuart is cool, but a bit of a stand offish type.

I love the steady lead up through out the book....nothing is really fast past...just a steady story of action.
I really can't wait for the next book....I mean to leave us trapped in the basement...urgh!!!!!!

Kailin Gow has appeared on top national syndicated talk shows such as ABC Radio, Barbara Dooley show, Chat with Women on KKNW Seattle, Broadminded on Sirius Radio XM, and more as a leading authority on YA and women's issues including self-esteem, body image, dating and sexual relationships, abuse, and bullying. Kailin has been a published author for over 10 years with over 100 titles published under her name and under pen names.

She is the founder of the community social site, The Saving You Saving Me Project,http://www.savingyousavingme.com which helps teens, young adults, and women deal with social issues like sexual abuse, self-esteem, body image, bullying, cutting, relationships, and more in a positive community environment. The Saving You Saving Me Project is an extention of her YA-mature fiction Saving You Saving Me.
Kailin Gow began writing books for tween girls to help them with self-confidence and self-esteem. Her book, Gifted Girls Activities Guide to 365 Days of the Week, became a reference book used in girls organizations across the U.S. As her tween fans grew to become teens and young adults, Kailin began writing engaging and entertaining young adult book series for them. The results are book series like the Frost Series, PULSE Series, Wicked Woods Series, Stoker Sisters, Phantom Diaries, The Fire Wars, FADE, DESIRE, and more.

All her books are inspired by personal experiences. Saving You Saving Me was inspired by her experience as a peer counselor for young women during college and from her psychology major college roommate's experience being in a relationship similar to the one portrayed by Sam and Collins in the book. Loving Summer was inspired by Kailin's experience growing up with a family consisting of a mother, two sons, and a daughter who went through a similar experience of tragedy in the book. Aunt Sookie is based on herself and some actor friends she knows. The Frost Series, Circus of Curiosities Series, and FADE Series came about through vivid dreams. Never Say Never was inspired by Kailin's experience as a radio host and working with and interviewing bands, as well as having college friends who were in bands. Kailin also played the drums and keyboard for a band she once started. A classically-trained musician, she was once led her school orchestra, playing first chair violin. Her experience in the music world and her love of Phantom of the Opera, inspired the Phantom Diaries. PULSE was inspired when Kailin was in the hospital suffering from heavy blood loss post surgery and needed several bags of blood to survive (like a vampire). Beautiful Beings was inspired by her college encounter with a young demon exorcist. A pastor once told her she had the gift of sight and that she was destined to become a prolific author, many times over.

She began taking her writing seriously when her daughter was diagnosed as being on the spectrum and her mother was fighting three types of cancer. Four years later, her daughter was no longer on the spectrum, and her mother became cancer free. Kailin believes in hope and miracles, after having been through several struggles and experiences herself. This is why she writes.
When not busy inhaling chocolate and drinking coffee by the gallon, Kailin makes time for writing fantasy books, blogging as an expert blogger for Fast Company, volunteering as an Emergency Responder and volunteering for battered women's shelters. For fun, she plays the electric violin, and puts together a music playlist for her radio and web shows.
Her Frost Series consisting of the Bitter Frost Series, The Wolf Fey Series, and the Fairy Rose Chronicles along with her other book series are being developed into worldwide MMORPG Games by SEE GLOBAL ENTERTAINMENT, which is the world's leading game developer known for developing the top blockbuster films into games

What you should know when you start writing

Guest Post by Sheila Hendrix
  1. You have to have a dream. You can’t just wake up one day and say, “I think I’m going to write a book today. You have to have a passion to do this. I’ve always loved to read, and I’ve always wanted to write, but I never figured I could. I didn’t think I was talented enough to be able to write a book. One day I decided to give it a try. I wrote a story and submitted it for people to read. I was shocked to discover that I had over a thousand hits and people were sending me emails telling me to write something else. This was when my dream took off.
2. You have to have the guts. If you really want to be a writer, you can’t listen to people who tell you it will never happen. Don’t listen to them saying you can’t do it or that no one would read it. I’m red headed and Irish and that just made me dig in my heels and show them.
3. You have to have a story idea or inspiration. You get this in the strangest of places. People ask me where I got the idea to write The Betrayal. It wasn’t some divine intervention or anything like that, but then again maybe it was. I got the idea for The Betrayal from a nightmare I had that stayed with me for days. I don’t scare easy but this one nightmare just would not leave. The night I had it, I woke up in a cold sweat and could have swore the dream was real. When I got over the dream, I figured it would make a great book, so I wrote it. It was one of the best things I’ve ever done.
4. You have to have vision. Stick to your guns and never say you can’t. Find your story and just write it. Don’t matter how it sounds, just get it down on paper. You can tidy it up later. The most important thing is to get it down.
5. Last but not least, you have to have a drive. Writing the story is easy. Getting it ready for publication is hard. Breaking into this business is not an easy thing to do. When I first started out, I found out how true that was. It’s not easy and you have to have thick skin but no matter how many rejection letters you get, if you are born to write, write. Don’t give up and in time your dream will come true. Mine did. I’m a nurse and I love my job. I’m studying to become a paralegal and I love that also but the other day my husband asked me if I could make a living at writing would I give up nursing and paralegal. My response to him was simple. I’d give it up in a heartbeat.

Author Bio:

Sheila Hendrix is a native of Alabama and resides there with her husband of seventeen years. Her
only children are her six dogs. She works as a nurse for a nursing home and also does reviews for a
magazine, although she hasn’t done that in awhile because she’s been busy writing her own Young Adult
series.
Sheila has always wanted to write but never thought she’d be able to. It’s been a dream of hers since
she was a little girl. She practically raised her little brother because her parents both had to work. She
had to grow up fast and that was where she got the idea of writing about two brothers whose parents
abandoned them when they were little.
The Dark Circle book series is her paranormal series she’s working on right now. She got the idea for
The Betrayal after having a nightmare that stayed with her for days.
The Betrayal is the first book in the series and is now available where ever books are sold. The second
book in the series is Head Games and then Darkness Falls. She doesn’t know how many books will be in
the series but there will be several.
Her hobbies are reading, writing, gardening, traveling, hiking, camping and swimming. She is currently

10 Things You Didn’t Know About Guardians Inc. (Guest Post from the Author)
The Guardians Inc. storyline is not a trilogy, but a series of books. Five to be precise, but they might turn into six depending on how long Book Five turns out to be.
Before writing Book 1: The Cypher, I had already developed all story and character arcs for the whole series, and what I wanted to explore on each book. This process took about two years.
The Ending of the Series is already written and it is quite final.
Each book seeds the next books, so things, enemies and storylines will appear and reappear all over in the complete series.
There are allusions and "Tips o' the hat" to many books, writers and movies I admire seeded throughout the Books. From The Jungle Book to The Last Starfighte and  Mythbusters. Most of them are done quite openly, even referenced by name, but some are very cryptic. Me having fun with the story.
Guardians Inc. relies heavily on historic figures and events. I research thoroughly before referencing a place or an event.
The same applies to technology, I do try to do as much research as I can before writing about technology. (although, like Thomas, theoretical physics are beyond my full understanding!)
One of the evil characters in Cypher: THE MAN IN THE TRENCHCOAT, got its own interactive book app for the ipad as an illustrated children's book and it’s doing quite well!
ALL storylines will get closure. I promise.
As time progresses in the story and Thomas gets older, dangers, moral dilemmas, and romantic situations will get rougher, tougher and more... romantic!

Praise for Lancaster House:
Wow. Where to start? Lancaster House was one of the most exhilarating, amazing books I've read all year. Maybe even ever. There is an undercurrent of menace and a totally creepy vibe running through the first half of the novel, one which kept me turning the pages and had my heart beating that little bit faster. From the opening pages, you're sucked right into the action, wondering what is going on and what will happen next.
Wow! What an intense and refreshing book! It pulled me in form the very first page!It has everything from suspense to mystery and yes, of course, romance! This book kept me on edge by keeping me guessing to the very end! Lancaster House is not your same ole paranormal romance that we all have come to know and expect! Oh no! There was no way I could have guessed all the twists and turns that are held in this book! It left me surprised and very satisfied with the the whole story! I guarantee you have never read any other book that is remotely like this one (well at least I sure haven't and I have read a lot of books!)
-Jess of Book Liaison
Andre and Zoe just give me chills at how beautiful they are together. Not to mention this story has every wow factor to it you can imagine. Twists and turns like you wouldn’t believe. It was a great adventure and a job well done for Taylor Dean. I absolutely loved it and would recommend it to everyone. A true masterpiece.
-Chasity of Batty for Books
Reading this book, I was not prepared for the strength of voice and the very real grit author Taylor Dean projects in her amazing story. Give me a great ghost story any day of the week. Fill it with kick butt heroines and a spicy romance and you have me at the word go.
Lancaster House is amazingly written and such an original story. I was Zoe and Andre's number one fan from the beginning, they are an amazing couple, and Taylor easily conveys their love in this story.
-Brandy of Book Worm Brandy
Can I just say WOW! This is really a gripping read and one I recommend highly! Taylor Dean is on my list of must read authors now.
I have never read a book quite like this one. I can't begin to describe to you how good it was.

The messenger is Keith Dartman and the message is the power of one, the glory of persistence – over unthinkable loss. Written by Michael An’gileo after the death of his own father, the “blue book,” as it’s often called, is finding its way into the hearts of many. “An excellent book which I thoroughly enjoyed. I read it in one sitting; having reached the end of page 2, I was totally hooked so I had no choice but to finish. One of, if not the, best books I’ve ever read.”

“Brilliant… Would like to see 6 or 7 thousand sequels though, or similar works from this innovative, extremely eloquent wordsmith.”

THE BLUELITE MESSAGE: Surprise book of the Fall
This surprise book hit the cyber world this Fall, and people are buzzing about it, from Los Angeles to Australia to Bombay, India. The question everyone is asking is the same: “Have you received the message yet?” So what is The Bluelite Message? Apparently our world is poised for a unifying force which transcends our global differences. Can 2012 really be a year of real change? Author, Michael An’gileo, calls it a sign of the times. “We’re finally leaving the Piscean Era which was all about stark difference. The Bluelite is the long-awaited messenger of a better tomorrow. It’s very real.” The characters in the book wear a blue light upon their eyes and deliver their 22-word light message to the world. “The Bluelite Message provides a way to release the old, to embrace the freedom and joy the planet was always designed for. It’s a fictional story, but also a human journey, and a unifying message for today’s real world.” For the cost of a fresh brew, anyone can download this book, now traveling the world. It sounds like an offer whose time may have finally come. The Bluelite Message is now available on Amazon and createspace.com.

Thank you Mr. An'gileo for your inside into your book. Stay tune for my review coming soon :)

Finding the Baby Jesus by Kimball Fisher ~Guest Post and Giveaway~

After being forced to wear lederhosen for the annual holiday card picture, twelve-year-old Chris thinks that the least his parents can do is get him the Tony Hawk skateboard he wants for Christmas. But when he recovers the hand-carved Baby Jesus that everyone thought had been destroyed in a fire the year his Grandma died, Chris realizes that some gifts are even more important than skateboards.

When the author had to discontinue a cherished tradition of reading Christmas stories out loud with his family and holiday guests each week in December, he wrote Finding the Baby Jesus. He had been unable to locate enough meaningful stories that could be read in a single sitting with wiggly children.

Purchase
Amazon * Smashwords * Barnes and Noble

Why might you buy this story and read it this Christmas? Simple...It's a story of giving, of believing....thinking of others, what we all should be doing this holiday season. It's told so sweetly as to not put any one person on the spot, but to gently point out that some people aren't going to being having the same happy holiday as we might be having. Just because you think that you deserve something doesn't mean that you need it...someone else could use it so much more. Sometimes the best gifts are within ourselves.
Such a wonderful story sure to last the times.

I personally wanted to know why did Mr.Fisher write this story.........

Why I wrote FINDING THE BABY JESUS: A short story about how recovering a long-lost carving changed a boy's Christmas
There are two reasons why I wrote this little Christmas book, and they both have to do with cherished holiday traditions. First, my wife and I have a 20+ year tradition of spending Christmas eve with our dear friends the Dyers and some of their children (and now grandchildren). We have Chinese takeout and then we have an annual talent show. I ran out of talents a long time ago, so I decided to write a Christmas story. I've reworked and shared revisions a couple of times. Why a story? Part of the reason is because of the second tradition. For a few years my wife and I attempted to have guests over and read Christmas stories out loud each Monday evening in December. But we had a hard time finding enough reading material that that could be finished within the attention span of wiggly kids. So we abandoned that tradition. Recalling how much we had enjoyed the holiday read-alouds, I wanted to write something that could be read by most families in a single-sitting and potentially become one of their holiday traditions.
