Stop bullying ME! I'm a ZOMBIE. SO WHAT? by Edward Kent

Stop Bullying ME! I'm a ZOMBIE. SO WHAT?

Ed has just started at a new school, is making friends, and seems happy. Except for the boy named Bart, who does not like Ed because he's different. For you see, Ed's a zombie! Ed must now confront the bully to prove that he is really no different than anybody else as he stands up for zombies and other children everywhere!

My daughter and I read this book together. It was very point on with bullying and written at a level that my five year old was more than willing to read it to me.

My daughter's review....
I like Zombie Ed, I'd be his friend, but Bart has to GROW UP.
He's mean and that's not nice. All Ed wants is to play with him and be friends.
Ed was right to tell his mom and Principal, but it was sad that didn't work. His friend Pete wasn't any help either, Ed shouldn't have to hide.
Ed was totally smart to be himself and not hide or be afraid.
I like this book a lot and I will be like Zombie Ed!

Well I guess she puts it right there for you.
I love that fact that Zombie Ed did go tell his mom and his Principal and that even when Bart got worst....Zombie Ed didn't hide, he talked about all the good things the made him.....HIM!
Wonderful job Mr. Edward Kent.

About the Author

EDWARD KENT
I was born and raised in the small village of Wilson, New York, which is located on the shores of Lake Ontario.  My parents, Berne and Nancy, were both teachers, so I was immersed in education from the get-go. I also have two sisters, Elaine and Tracey.
Growing up, I was lucky enough to have a best friend that lived next door, so there was never much downtime or boredom. We were always doing something, (mischievous or not!), and we always let our imaginations guide us. My ideas for Zombie Ed were born out of the things that interested me as a kid, and the way we thought as kids: simple and fun! I always enjoyed Halloween and watching the old school horror movies like frankenstein, dracula, and the wolfman.
My interest in characters like ghosts and monsters, and yes, zombies, continued and grew.  Even now as an adult, Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year, and attending our friend’s annual Halloween party is an event. I usually have a costume idea for the next year’s party already formed before the current one is over!

I now reside in the Buffalo suburb of West Seneca, in Western New York, with my beautiful wife Dannielle, and our kids Cordelia, Keifer and Brody. With the kids starting elementary school, I find myself once again immersed in education, and this has inspired me to create a series of books with my character Zombie Ed.  I hope he will provide much fun and learning to all the “little zombies” that enjoy reading about him as I do writing about him!
I am now a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators
