Well there's not much this book doesn't have in it.
Truly I can think of only one thing...Normalcy!
Being part witch and demon isn't all that's it seems to the outsiders. Sydlynn just wants to be like everyone else and like a normal person when things get dicey, Syn must make decisions about her magic that effects not just her but a whole lot of others.
High school seems like a walk in the park compared to the things Sydlynn has to deal with.
This is by far a great fantasy wrapped in a teenage world. Hot guys, witches, demons....oh my!
This is the first book in Sydlynn's magic journey and if this is any inkling of what the next book holds.....Wholly Boogers!!!

About the Author
Patti Larsen is an award-winning middle grade and young adult author with a passion for the paranormal. But that sounds so freaking formal, doesn't it? I'm a storyteller who hears teenager's voices so loud I have to write them down. I love sports even though they don't love me. I've dabbled in everything from improv theater to film making and writing TV shows, singing in an all girl band to running my own hair salon.

ReplyDeleteWould you rather be a witch, demon, vampire or Fae? Why? What an interesting question. Probably a witch. A vamp requires eating blood, but I am squeamish about that. Demons are supposed to be evil, so that is out. I think witches are basically like a chemist but with herbs and odd ingredients instead of chemicals. That would be coolest to me. Thanks for the chance!
