The Taste of Home with Frito-Lay Recipe (Contest/Giveaway)

*Contest is over*
Random.org picked Number 1-Debbie....has been emailed

Ok, I know it's not a hop but.........
I wanted to enter this contest to give you a brief little inside into me so you know
"Hey this is the crazy woman we come and see what's in her head every now and then"
Plus, they do have a giveaway of a variety pack of Lay's Regional Flavor Potato chips for my readers,I'm dying to try the Honey Mustard and Creamy Garden Ranch :0)
I mean seriously...They were inspired by popular American Cuisine

        Northeastern U.S. – Lay’s Honey Mustard
   Midwestern U.S. – Lay’s Creamy Garden Ranch
Northwestern U.S. – Lay’s Balsamic Sweet Onion
 Southwestern U.S. – Lay’s Chipotle Ranch
 Southeastern U.S. – Lay’s Cajun Herb & Spice

And of course.....
All of the Lay's Regional Flavored potato chips are made with all natural ingredients and cooked in healthier oils, like corn and sunflower oils, which contain 80% or more of polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fat - the "good fats." They also contain 0 grams of trans fats per serving!
There’s also less sodium in them than you might think – a 1-oz serving of our Lay’s Regional Flavored potato chips contains less salt than a plain bagel!
(Ha..Ha..Ha...Bet you never thought you'd ever know that much about a chip huh?)

 So without further ado.......

For those of you that don't know I'm a Marine Brat....And PROUD of it...LOL
I'm used to traveling around the country from base to base (state to state), without a choice. You pick up and move. It didn't matter if you had to leave your best friend, your first boyfriend....if your parent was told to move....you moved.
I learned to love a bunch of different types of food because of it. I honestly think the times I spent in the backyard just hanging with my friends was the time I actually considered anything HOME. I learned how to make easy food to take with me to my friends homes so that we could party without the care of "hey you might be gone soon".
Now......We're grown and I still think back on times we shared and how I miss so many friends....I think " what happened to her or him", sometimes tears are shed and laughs are loud, but memories will last a long time.
I find that I make this recipe a ton.....I picked it up long ago and change it to fit my mood. All depending on which part of home I'm longing for and thanks to Lay's it makes it even easier!!!!

The Chicken Pan

2 Boxes of Stuffing mix
2lb of Cooked Chicken (cut bite size)
2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
2 Cups Shredded Italian Style Cheese (Mozzarella, Provolone, Parmesan, Romano, Fontina & Asiago Cheese)
1 Can Cream of Mushroom
2 Tbsp Peppered REAL Bacon Bits (or regular)
1/2 Cup Milk
1lb pkg Deli slice Ham (thin slice type, then cut up into small squares)
1 Bag of Lays Potato Chips...about 3/4 crunched.
(you won't use the whole bag but, they're nice to snack on while you cook...LOL)

Now if you have a big pan use it or you'll need two 13x9in pans. Lightly greased (I either use tin foil or just gently spray them).
1-Prepare stuffing mix as per box and set aside.
2- Layer chicken on the bottom of each pan.....So you'll basically have 1lb on the bottom of each (Yum!)
3- Next you'll sprinkle your bacon bits (note should you not be able to find peppered bacon bits, sprinkle a bit pepper...for taste!)
4-Now on to the Ham....1/2 lb into each pan....since the ham is cut into squares you want to break them up and spread them along the pan.
5- Next you'll sprinkle 1/2 Cup of the Cheddar Cheese on each pan (that will leave you 1 Cup of Cheddar Cheese for the topping)
6- Next sprinkle 1 Cup of the Italian Cheese on each pan.
7- Spread out the stuffing over the top of each.
8- Mix the milk with the can of soup in a separate bowl....and sprinkle half over one pan and the other half on the other.
9-Cover and Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes
10- Remove from oven uncover. Cover the top of each pan with the crunched chips and 1/4 cup of Cheddar Cheese. Put back into oven for 15 minutes or until Cheese is Melted.
Serves family of 5 ( one being a growing teenage BOY) with left overs.
Note....when I'm in the mood I change the meat to steak and cheese to Mexican. This recipe has so much you can do with it and the Lays Chips have so many different flavors now....HOLY MOLY!!!
This is dinner tonight...YUMMY!!!!

So I know you all are wondering how is she going to choose who wins the chips??? I mean I know we all need them for our end of the SUMMER parties....LOL
Easy leave a comment tell me how great this looks and what flavor of Lays you are DYING and I mean DYING to try!!!
(US only, But I still love all my readers.)

Disclosure-Frito-Lay did provide me with chips and this blog post is in fact my entry into their recipe contest.
