Stop bullying ME! I'm a ZOMBIE. SO WHAT? by Edward Kent

Stop Bullying ME! I'm a ZOMBIE. SO WHAT?

Ed has just started at a new school, is making friends, and seems happy. Except for the boy named Bart, who does not like Ed because he's different. For you see, Ed's a zombie! Ed must now confront the bully to prove that he is really no different than anybody else as he stands up for zombies and other children everywhere!

My daughter and I read this book together. It was very point on with bullying and written at a level that my five year old was more than willing to read it to me.

My daughter's review....
I like Zombie Ed, I'd be his friend, but Bart has to GROW UP.
He's mean and that's not nice. All Ed wants is to play with him and be friends.
Ed was right to tell his mom and Principal, but it was sad that didn't work. His friend Pete wasn't any help either, Ed shouldn't have to hide.
Ed was totally smart to be himself and not hide or be afraid.
I like this book a lot and I will be like Zombie Ed!

Well I guess she puts it right there for you.
I love that fact that Zombie Ed did go tell his mom and his Principal and that even when Bart got worst....Zombie Ed didn't hide, he talked about all the good things the made him.....HIM!
Wonderful job Mr. Edward Kent.

About the Author

EDWARD KENT
I was born and raised in the small village of Wilson, New York, which is located on the shores of Lake Ontario.  My parents, Berne and Nancy, were both teachers, so I was immersed in education from the get-go. I also have two sisters, Elaine and Tracey.
Growing up, I was lucky enough to have a best friend that lived next door, so there was never much downtime or boredom. We were always doing something, (mischievous or not!), and we always let our imaginations guide us. My ideas for Zombie Ed were born out of the things that interested me as a kid, and the way we thought as kids: simple and fun! I always enjoyed Halloween and watching the old school horror movies like frankenstein, dracula, and the wolfman.
My interest in characters like ghosts and monsters, and yes, zombies, continued and grew.  Even now as an adult, Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year, and attending our friend’s annual Halloween party is an event. I usually have a costume idea for the next year’s party already formed before the current one is over!

I now reside in the Buffalo suburb of West Seneca, in Western New York, with my beautiful wife Dannielle, and our kids Cordelia, Keifer and Brody. With the kids starting elementary school, I find myself once again immersed in education, and this has inspired me to create a series of books with my character Zombie Ed.  I hope he will provide much fun and learning to all the “little zombies” that enjoy reading about him as I do writing about him!
I am now a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators

Tickling Daphne H. by Veronica Frances ~Kindle Giveaway and Guest Post~

Tickling Daphne H.

Tickling Daphne H. follows the ticklish journeys of Daphne, Dave, Carol and Harold, exploring how tickling deeply affects the lives of these four people.

The story deals with the many different faces of tickling; the addictive and torturous, the pleasurable and erotic and the humorous and romantic.

This is the very unusual love story of Daphne and Dave, two people facing their tickle-demons together. It is primarily the journey of Daphne, a 21-year-old very ticklish woman. Daphne finds herself in a world where every important person in her life has a tickling fetish, including her boyfriend Dave. She finds herself constantly surrounded by feathers and wiggling fingers, unable to escape the taunting sounds of her own laughter. She is also unable to escape her own mixed-up feelings about tickling.

As Daphne’s relationship with Dave grows, she must learn to face her fears and deeper feelings about tickling, for the sake of their relationship and herself.

Now a word from our author..

The Inspiration Behind Tickling Daphne H.

By Veronica Frances

An inspiration is but a tiny flicker inside, a little tickle, followed by another and then another, and then, a story spills onto the empty page as if it had been there all the time.

For a writer with a tickling fetish, there is lots of smiling and laughing, all day, all night, whenever the imagination decides. I sit down at my computer, a slave to my tickling fantasies, trying to remain focused, composed and in control.

But tickling is not about being in control. It is about laughing uncontrollably, twitching as wiggling fingers find every sensitive spot on your body. It is about a silent feather causing such a loud response. It is almost ironic if you think about it. A feather moves around in whispers, playfully, tauntingly, and a person laughs and giggles, often loudly, until they are overwhelmed with pleasure and sometimes agony.

It is so arousing, so inspiring, as my fingers type my novel. My imagination comes alive, and I come alive, and then my novel is born.

I get this question all the time. How could I actually write an entire story about tickling and how could it have a plot that could be sustained throughout an entire novel? Well, when the charactersof a novel are passionate about something, especially a fetish as powerful as tickling, the characters feel so deeply and the more deeply they feel, the more the author gets pulled into their world and the more there is to say.

One of the things that made me begin writing Tickling Daphne H. was my disbelief atthe lack of tickling material out there. In movies in particular, there is so little about tickling. Tickling scenes are usually short, and tickling in the media is generallysparse. I felt the world needed a real juicy story that was based primarily on tickling. There are a few other fetishes that make their way into the story as well, but there is tickling throughout, along with lots of romance, sex and some very ticklish disputes between the characters.

I had also wanted to write abouta delightfully unusual group of people, who do not always live by everyday standards and who sometimes behave in ways that some might even find inappropriate. I wanted my characters to beunique, vivid, real, sensual, inwardly tortured and alive.

My other motivation behind writing Tickling Daphne H. was to inspire and encourage people not to be ashamed of their fetishes. Fetishes are a part of life. I think people should stop hiding who they are and just enjoy the things that excite them and make them feel more alive. People are so busy hiding their deepest desires and it is causing so many unhappy and unfulfilling relationships.

I want people to understand that tickling, like any other fetish has a darker side, but so do people. I wanted to show the struggles that people face in the grip of the very thing that excites them. I wanted to take my characters to the very edge of their desires and make them experience pleasure and sometimes, some of the more difficult and darker sides of life and themselves.

I also wanted to show how wonderful and exciting tickling can be and how some people need it in their lives to be happy and completely fulfilled. I wanted to make the point, that what one person finds unpleasant, shocking or inappropriate, another person might find pleasurable and exciting.

People ask me how much of my actual life is related to my novel, other than my tickling fetish. Though Tickling Daphne H.is fiction and not really related to my actual life, Daphne’s romantic nature lives inside of me and I admit that I found myself peeking out through her eyes many times as I wrote Tickling Daphne H.Daphne is also slightly Rubenesque and I have struggled with body image issues throughout my life. I could relate to Daphne’s struggles to let go and love her body, allowing herself to be tickled.

My inner ticklish self jumped out at me more times than I can mention, as I wrote my book. That is one of the joys of writing fiction. Finding oneself through the maze of the untamed imagination is delightful, sometimes scary and a definite road to self-discovery.

I have had a tickling fetish for as long as I can remember. Writing has been a wonderful way to channel my fetish and use it to make my readers happy. I hope to continue writing more tickling stories and other erotica as well.

Seduced by Innocence by Kimberly Kinrade ~Book Tour~

Seduced by Innocence

Seduction comes in many forms.

"Liquid fire poured into me, filling me with the intimate sense of him as he leaned in to claim my lips with his own. I reached for him, needing him closer, but my arms couldn't close the distance between us, which grew wider with each hitched breath. So close to finally feeling something real, something carnal and deep, I cried out in frustration, dropping my hands as he disappeared. My cries deepened into a frenzy of panic and my eyes flew open. I clutched my blanket and stilled myself to calm my racing heart.

Just a dream. Always just a dream."

Rose Wintersong didn't have an ordinary upbringing. Raised in what most would call a hippy commune, but what is actually a powerful coven of witches, she never questions the life fate chose for her.

Until she meets Derek O'Conner.

Derek challenges everything Rose believes and forces her to see the secrets hidden beneath the whitewashed walls of her idyllic country life.

Rose knows she should walk away, that the sexy martial arts instructor is bad news bred to create discord in her tight community… but the animal magnetism between them is impossible to fight.

Caught between the passion of first love, and the steady beat of the life she's always known, Rose must choose between the innocence of her youth or the pleasures of womanhood—but lost innocence comes at a price, and Rose harbors a dark secret that could destroy everyone she loves—including Derek.

Thoughts
Kimberly does an AMAZING job on this one....yes I know I've said that before about her, but I have to admit she is one GIFTED author!
If ever there is a story that will drive you nuts, this is the one.
I have NEVER dis-liked a character as much as I dis-like Rainbow! To tell you the truth Blake isn't far behind.
Those two can go stuff themselves!!!
This story is full of mystery, it keeps you turning the page, until you're at the end and SCREAMING.....Omg did she really end the book there?!?!?!?!?!

Rose is not really my favorite character, mainly because at times I really want to smack her...she's just so naive. Sometimes it was just so hard not to want to push her along....kinda of like Ocean did.
Ocean is the best friend anyone could want. Up beat and there for you....too cool.
Then you have Derek....YUMMY!!!!
He was just a loving and understanding character I would totally spend sometime in a cabin with him!!!
The story on a whole takes you through a lot of misdeeds and some are HORRID...Poor puppies!!!!
You will totally be craving more of Derek and Rose....if the massage scene doesn't get you fully on board, the way Rose stands up to Rainbow sure the heck will!
With this book ending with so many unanswered questions....Will Rainbow and Blake get theirs, will the coven open their FREAKING eyes, and most of all will Rose get her man....
I will be flipping the page of book 2 VERY SOON!!!

Against impossible odds, a fourteen-year-old boy must take up his legacy, learn everything he needs to know within one short day, and travel helter skelter into the Middle Ages, to join Henry VII’s fight against Richard III, end the Dark Ages, and stop the man who now holds his grandfather captive. In this romp through history, Jason and his friends must race against time to accomplish not one, but two missions.
Save his grandfather.
And save the world.

Thoughts
WOW!
This was a very interesting book. I love Nerds and Twists, and this book gave me both!
The build up starts right at the prologue and the story itself was NO let down!
Jason is a nerd, and a SMART one at that. Then you add his best pal Paul...awesome! The two of them hold a bond like brothers, each with their own personalities which adds to the over all story.
Then you have Nicholas....talk about evil villain!!! The man will do anything to achieve his goals.
The twists come at you early on.....travelling through time there's know telling what's next.
History is at your fingertips.....don't fret if you end up learning something cool about the past.
Mr. McHugh definitely made his mark on this reader. With such well developed characters and a story that is beyond AWESOME, I look forward to seeing what else comes from his mind!

All that’s left is a journal she can’t open.
Jeric Winters has been searching for a piece of his past for over a year, only to reach a dead-end in Georgia. When an urgent and magnetic pull draws him out of his hotel room, he comes face-to-face with the beautiful dancer who’s been haunting his dreams day and night.
Jeric’s one to stay away from—a bad-boy, hit-it-and-quit-it type—but Leni can’t escape the fervent feelings between them. As their own existences begin to crumble around them and shadowy forms that are more monsters than men attack, they realize there’s more to the connection between them than physical fascination.
To solve the riddle their lives have become, they must embark on a journey that requires them to face their pasts and release their true souls. And they must do it fast—dark ones from another world are closing in, intent on killing them. Permanently.

Excerpt:

LENI – The overhead lights fell dark for the last time as I opened the dressing room door. The back exit stood open at the end of the hall, allowing in enough light from the streetlamp outside to show my way. I inhaled slowly, cherishing the musty smell of an old theater mixed with the odor of dancers’ sweat and the fragrance of white roses. I silently said my goodbyes as my feet carried me outside.
“Thank you, Uncle Theo,” I whispered as I left the theater for the last time. Only because of him did I even have this opportunity. I couldn’t wait to tell him all about it.
A large, muscular body flew at me, swept me into his arms and twirled me around as though we were still on stage. Laughter bubbled out of my chest.
“You ready to celebrate, cara mia?” Alberto asked as he set me down.
“Celebrate that you’re finally getting rid of me?” I teased.
He clapped his hand over his heart, and his face fell into an exaggerated expression of pain. “Oh, Leni, you do not know how I will miss you and your mane.”
He swatted playfully at the bottom of my curls. He had no idea how I would miss the way he said my name, drawing out both syllables, “laaaay-kneee,” like only an Italian could do.
“But you won’t miss my heels on your toes or my arm in your face?” I said in mock disbelief.
He took my hand and danced me down the cobbled street toward the plaza at the center of town. “You are a stunning dancer, cara mia. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.” He spun me under his arm, my duffle bag banging me in the butt the whole time. “Of course, you have become much better since becoming my partner. But everyone does.”
He winked at me before dropping me into a dip. My bag slid off my shoulder and a hand darted beneath me to catch it. Alberto swung me up and around so that I came face-to-face with the most unbelievably stunning vision I’d seen my whole time in Italy. Which was saying a lot. His eyes—blue, I thought, though the light from the corner post wasn’t enough to be sure—enraptured me. He held my bag out with a small smile that hinted at dimples.
“Grazie,” I said breathlessly as I wrapped my hand around the strap of my bag. He gave me a nod almost deep enough to be a bow, his shaggy blond hair falling in his face. Then, without a word, he turned and walked away. My mouth fell open. “How rude.”
“Must be American,” Alberto said. I punched him in the arm.
“Who goes out of their way to catch a falling object and then can’t even say ‘you’re welcome’?” I asked absent-mindedly as I stared after the retreating body that rivaled Alberto’s. No, scratch that. It totally beat out Alberto’s even on his best day.
“What an ass,” Alberto muttered.
“Rude, yes, but I don’t know if I’d go that far.”
“No, I mean what an ass that man has.” He let out a low whistle.
I laughed and admired the view as well. “I can agree with that.”
“He’s going to Alonzo’s. Lucky us.”
~ ~ ~
JERIC – I flipped to the picture I’d drawn a couple of weeks ago during my search in Italy. I’d woken from a dream, one I’d been having for years, and as I had previously, I’d felt the need to sketch the girl who had me waking with a painful boner. Now that I’d met her in real life, I couldn’t deny the girl in my sketches was Leni—curly hair, exotic green eyes, full lips and breasts, her skin … as if the absolute best features of both African and European blood had been blended together and given to her. The Leni I’d just met would probably never wear the leather bra, miniskirt, and knee-high boots I’d drawn her in, but damn if she wouldn’t look hot in them. The vision came to me clearly. Too clearly. I had to place the book over my lap to hide the full-blown wood pressing against my jeans.
I needed a distraction. I needed to get her out of my head. I bought several little airline bottles of rum and dumped them in my Coke, but they weren’t enough to blur the image of Leni’s face in my mind. When the smoking hot flight attendant ran her finger over my arm then dropped a napkin with a message on my tray (“Meet me upstairs?”), I couldn’t resist. I snuck up the spiral staircase to the empty upper level and found her in the bathroom wearing nothing but heels and thigh-high stockings, tendrils of bottle-bleached hair barely hiding her fake tits. Flight attendants like this had made me a lifetime member of the mile-high club—they wanted nothing more than something to make the transatlantic flight more interesting. My perfect kind of girl.
Unfortunately, my eyes only saw Leni’s body under my hands.

Conflicting Hearts by J.D. Burrows ~Promo~

Conflicting Hearts
Contemporary Romance
Date Published: November 2012

 Conflicting Hearts

Synopsis:

Rachel Hayward hoped to have a quiet thirtieth birthday alone. Instead, fate had different plans.
Caught in traffic and late for work, she can do nothing except wait for the freeway gridlock to ease. A three-car pileup has caused the snarl. Just as cars begin to move at a faster clip, Rachel takes her eyes off the road to gawk at the accident and rear-ends the car in front of her.
Sick over having ruined her day, she lowers her head onto the steering wheel and waits for the driver to begin a tirade over her stupidity. Instead, a kind man taps on her window showing genuine concern about her welfare. The brief colliding encounter suddenly starts a relationship between two strangers that takes off under odd circumstances.
When the couple becomes intimate, their relationship turns into a conflicting set of desires and needs. Rachel is bound by a shameful, dark childhood. After she falls in love with the handsome Ian Richards, she is faced with the decision to leave him or finally confront her demons to obtain the one thing in life she's always needed--healing from the sexual abuse she endured as a little girl.

EXCERPT

Ian slowly turns me around so that I’m facing him. We’re nose to nose. Our bodies are touching front to front. This is not good, or maybe it is good. He doesn’t say a thing, except to look at me with a smoldering gaze. A second later, he lazily moves his eyes toward my lips.

I’m frozen. I look at him with half anticipation and half panic. He’s going to kiss me; I know it. His intentions are clearly expressed in his blue eyes, which have turned a shade darker. I’m losing it. Hurriedly, I remind him of his words to fend off the advance.
“Uh, I thought you wanted to be just friends?”

A look of admiration sweeps across his face. He gently brings his hand up to my forehead and brushes a few strands of hair out of my eyes. Ian is silent, but it’s obvious he is thinking this through. It’s driving me crazy being close to his body.
“You want more?” I whisper, trying to get him to say something.
“Do you?”

He answers with a question. It’s annoying. “I asked you first,” I reply, not cracking a smile or giving away my heart pounding in my chest. I can’t look at him any longer. I close my eyes, and silently ask God, who I’ve ignored for years, to help me.

Then I feel the warmth of his breath approach. He circles my lips with his and gives me a long, tender kiss. Sweet Jesus. He tastes so delicious! I hope the breath mint I popped in my mouth a half hour ago is still working. Eventually, he pulls away, and I open my eyes.

“Does that answer your question?”
