Called Home-Two Hearts Answer

This was such a remarkable sweet story, that show how much a man will go through to prove to a woman
I LOVE YOU!

Emma Benson's view of life was crafted by the death of her brother as a child, abandonment by her father and later, the man she trusted she would marry, until David Schlosser-back in town after years in New York writing best-selling novels-threatens her neatly tended life. Romance blooms. Emma and David eventually persevere in the face of tragedy, refusing to leave their dreams behind.

This book grabs you from the start and doesn't let you go until the end. The characters are well defined and strong willed..

It was so cute how they first met with a tornado baring down on the Benson's house and David showing up.....Priceless! I mean he was only trying to warn them.....Really Emma....Did you have to be so Rude???
Emma is clearly a woman out to prove no man will ever be needed in her life after the one who threw her in the garbage. David just move back home, missing life really, only to fall head over heals for Emma. She sure in the heck isn't going to make it easy on him.

I'm still having problems trying  to decide which is my favorite part....
The one where she thought she could still do everything even after being shot (by the way that was totally awesome how David came to save the day!) or dinner with his family.....or the horse race at the end....Oh Gloria what have you done to me???????

This book clearly shows that when a man is in love he will go through Hell to get his woman (even if that woman doesn't realize she's in love...LOL)
Great anytime read.....

Thanks to everyone who decided to make the summer of 2011 an official Summer of Gomez! I for one had a lot of fun and lost only a little bit of hair (and a few teeth) over the administration. A small price to pay of course.
Let's try something great next year as well.

It's the Summer of Gomez!

Get free books and win a Kindle or iPod.

As reviewers have been calling “No Hope for Gomez!” the perfect summer read - light, fast, fun - I decided to give this summer's Gomez readers some exclusive content and the chance to win prizes.

About No Hope for Gomez!

It's the age-old tale:  -   Boy meets girl.  -   Boy stalks girl.  -   Girl already has a stalker.  -   Boy becomes her stalker-stalker.    We've seen it all before, many times, but this time it's different. If only slightly.     When Gomez Porter becomes a test subject in an experimental drug trial, he is asked to keep track of any strange experiences through a blog.
What Gomez isn't ready for, is so many of his experiences suddenly seeming strange; the antiques dealer trying to buy his old tax papers, the phone-sex salesman who hounds him day and night, the super sexy lab assistant who falls for him but is unable to express herself in terms outside the realm of science.    But when one of the trial participants turns up dead and another goes missing, Gomez begins to fear for his life. No longer sure who he can trust and which of his experiences are real and which merely drug induced delusions, he decides it's time to go underground and work out a devious plan. Read a chapter.
Nominated for Humor Novel of the Year by ForeWord Reviews, USA Book News, and the IBA Awards, here's what reviewers have to say about "No Hope for Gomez!": “Extremely witty and clever writing.” -- California Chronicle "An unputdownable read. a Coens Brothers' film in book form." -- BookReview.com "A veritable page turner of nonstop laughs!" -- Reader Views "A Party for your Brain!" -- Warren Baxter Warning: clinical studies have shown that reading this novel is likely to make you more attractive to the opposite sex and elevate your random luck by about 9.5%** (** These statements have not been evaluated by any person of consequence!) With every cool summer party comes a gift bag, so here's just some of the stuff all summer readers will get:
  • Exclusive new story collection
  • No Hope for Gomez: The Lost Chapters
  • Making of Gomez: behind the scenes eBook
  • Signed hi-res poster + bookplate
Additionally, several lucky readers will win a prize. I'm raffling off a Kindle, an iPod Nano 8GB, and five exclusive spin-off paperback novels that are not available elsewhere! All you have to do to have a "Summer of Gomez", is get the book from any store before July 12th 2011 and forward your receipt to nohopeforgomez@gmail.com.(Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Amazon CA, Amazon UK, Amazon DE) Every purchase counts as an entry so increase your chances by stocking up on some extremely cool birthday presents ;) Points towards additional entries are gained by getting your friends to join in, and tweeting/blogging/face-booking (is that a verb?) about the summer of Gomez. The Thirteenth Gift

Since I know a bunch of us will be spending time with the family this weekend I thought this would be an AWESOME time to share this wonderful book with all of you.....PLUS if you have a kindle it's currently FREE for download!!!!
While on assignment in Eastern Europe, Claire, a U.S. journalist, learns of a local legend. The deceptively simple fable about the thirteenth gift has a profound effect on Claire, which soon transforms her marriage, her work, and the way she sees the world. The Thirteenth Gift is both a cautionary tale and an inspirational fable as it shows a way through the perilous consequences of greed, arrogance, and abuse of power to an uplifted state of consciousness and community. The Thirteenth Gift invites readers to renew their own sense of wonderment, which can lead to freedom from fear and a greater experience of hope, beauty, and joy in daily life. Like the message of the award-winning book, The Twelve Gifts of Birth, this novella from Charlene Costanzo reminds readers to see the dignity that is inherent in themselves and others.

This is a wonderful Novella that reminds us all  that we have special gifts. Each of us have been blessed with amazing gifts that we tend to over look in our everyday lives.
As Claire learns from this Fable told to her when she needed to hear the most.
You'd be truly amazed yourself at your own "special gifts" and I'm sure you'd be amazed at what you'd missed in so many others. It's such a simple, sweet eye opener.
So, should you get a chance, it's not very long,
Re-charge your batteries and your thinking....
READ THIS BOOK!!!!

I took a trip....and read a book...LOL

So, I took a trip to Danville, Va......(yeah....me....LOL)
The trip wasn't all that bad...the weather was nice, the people were great.....the plane ride...well THANK GOD for a little book :
Power outages happen, and you have to be somewhere—like in an empty store—with your ex. Who is still irresistible. And hot. And who knows how to make the most out of a dark situation….
Checklist for: Larissa Zahn
☑ Food
☑ Water
☑ First aid kit (With condoms. Be prepared. Very, very prepared.)
☑ Someone you're still overwhelmingly into (Jason Cantrell, I'm looking at you.)
☑ Plenty of time in the dark (Read: hot nookie. Lots of it.)
❑ The ability to walk away without regrets in the morning…. (Uh-oh!)

My flight from Denver to Chicago had me in the middle of my hubby ( who isn't a small man) and another man (who wasn't a small man either).
So, as I'm reading this amazing story of love gone wrong, by some stupid trust issues.... My window buddy starts to snore.....which was no biggie to me until it wakes him up and he elbows me!!!!
This goes on the whole freakin flight!!! And what does my wonderful hubby do???
LAUGHS!!!!
He thinks it's so funny. I mean really...man falls asleep...snores...elbows me....acts as if nothing happens....repeats actions.
Like I said prior Thank God for my book!
Now back to this book for those who really want to know....LOL
Tawny Weber really captures your interests from the get go, her characters are wonderful.  I love that Larissa is not giving up so easily and Jason is so stubborn! I really like the fact it isn't overly mushy....it's got the romance but it's got the kiss my booty attitude , the real couple vibe......like this really could of happened in real life. Well done!
Oh, and the chocolate and candles rocked!
